Heather O'Shaughnessy has built her life in Chatham County, and these days she helps other people put down roots here too.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Heather spent years in theater, film, and community work before settling in Chatham County and earning her real estate license in 2020. She stepped away in 2024 to welcome her second child, and returned to Chatham Homes Realty and the work and community she loves.

Additionally, Heather’s work with the Chatham Arts Council keeps her close to the artists, farms, schools, small businesses, and families that give this county its character. That connection shapes how she works: she believes finding a home is about more than square footage or a closing date. It's about the rhythm of a place: where people gather, what they value, and what makes a house feel rooted.
